RyanC 0
I finally purchased a Saiga-12 about a year ago, and it's great. However, RAA doesn't seem to be importing any of the screw-on muzzle chokes, and to order them from the UK (the only place I've seen them available) seems prohibitively expensive. I have a pile of RemChokes for my 870, and was thus considering sitting down at the lathe and turning out a muzzle attachment that could take RemChokes for a Saiga 12. Shouldn't be too difficult, as it's only two threading operations and some boring. And RemChokes run only about 20 bucks each. My question is, would anyone else be interested in something like this? I wouldn't be able to get around to it until I finish my move two or three months from now. But I thought I'd test the waters out here first.
kresk 10,063
Gilberts Guns advertises screw-on chokes for the Saiga shotguns.
kmoore 3
I have an unthreaded bbl. Otherwise I'd jump on it!!!! Pro's = cheaper than buying factory chokes, Many have Rem chokes already in their collections Con's = Not authentic, add's a bit of length Unknown = price of your solution, Gilbert Guns available stock
kahrak 2
Don't forget that Polychoke just came out with a Saiga threaded version of their choke also.
shaneman153a 39
Are you saying you'll make a saiga-rem adapter? I have an unthreaded long barrel, I want to cut it down and thread it for rem chokes.
BattleRifleG3 16
I have a REm 870, and I would have to weigh the pros and cons of the poly-choke against a Tru-Glo Titan choke + your adaptor. But being aftermarket and adding length are not negatives for me. Functional merit and reasonable price are what I need.

RyanC 0
I looked at Gilbert's Guns website, I saw a choke set for the .410, but not for the 12. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? A link would be most helpful to compare factory choke costs. My solution would run somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 bucks plus or minus 5, and I'd probably want at least a dozen folks committed to buying 'em before I start cranking them out. Which, like I said, I wouldn't be able to do for a couple months anyhow, as the lathe is in storage while I'm pending a move.
