AK74 type muzzle brake for Saiga?

Recommended Posts

I remember there was a link to a company posted that makes these U.S. made AK74 brakes specifically for Saiga rifles. Anyone know of them?

Those that have one of these brakes, how did you mount yours and where did you get it? Does it do a good job of reducing muzzle rise?

I have a question. I'm doing a conversion of my Saiga and I'm going to replace 5 parts with US made parts to make the conversion legal.

Once I do the conversion, can I add any imported parts, such as a muzzle brake, and still keep it legal, or do I have to only add US made parts?

you cannot have more than 10 imported parts on the rifle period.

atf parts that count not all rifles have every part.

saiga has 14/15 parts depends on pistol grip and other items.

imported with more parts because its sporting. turn it into non sporting config you need 10 or less imported parts.

I will be adding a US made AR15 collapseable buttstock sept 14th and will also add US mfg muzzlebreak or flashhider. will have my 7.62rifle has us mfg follower and floor plate my 223 has only us mfg follower. I plan on installing TRI tri rail AK handguard us mfg.

I installed tapco parts kit with gas piston dont recommend the gas piston change bit difficult.

joeken firearms sells a us made saiga muzzle brake. fits over the oversized barrel.

Thanks Mrapathy2000 for the information. I've been planning my conversion and trying to figure out what I can and can't do. I'm sure I'll be referring back to that list often.

Oh, and Bigfoot Wallace, thanks for pointing out Joeken. I've heard conflicting reports about them. Some people like them, and others strongly dislike them.
