Only two gas ports?

Recommended Posts

Is it normal for a 24" to only have 2 gas ports? I'm also missing my gas piston, which appears to be a somewhat normal occurance. It does appear to have plenty of room for additional holes though.

The 24" should have 4 ports. It might be that they misaligned them to the gas block and they are covered up. I also remember someone just saying about a week ago that they was missing the piston as well when they bought it new. Tromix has us made pistons for sale or RAA might send you one for free if you call them.

Well, with this post and the one before it I guess I should be stripping down my brand new gun and see if all the parts are actually there before I shoot it!!

It sure sounds like some one at Izhmash and RAA needs a good bitchslap! :smoke::lolol:

Correction...the 24"ers have three ports, at least the one I just cut back to 18" did. Are you sure there isn't a third port hidden at the front edge of the opening in the gas block? Check it with a pick or small bent wire.

+1 on that problem with missing pistons. WTF? Too much wodka at break time or what?
