engbob 0 Posted December 8, 2007 Report Share Posted December 8, 2007 I was really interested in getting the UTG Quad Rail for my Saiga .223. But i wrote to someone at whatever website i was at, and they said that it could not be made to fit the Saiga. Since then i have put on the Saiga Galil hand rail, and really like. But in the future (as i have been bitten by this bug as we all have), i would love to install it on another rifle if possible. Can it be made to fit? Also which calibers will it fit (as there would be no point in me getting another .223) Thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

jgillaspy 24 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Share Posted December 10, 2007 You must also replace the gas tube. The shield on the Saiga one makes it just a little "fat" for the upper handguard piece. UTG now has 2 models now (one for larger barrels) so perhaps the newer one might work w/ the Saiga gas tube. The tube can be replaced w/ just about any AK47, AK74 or AKM gas tube, just no short ones.
