Bvamp 604
Heres some gun porn for you guys - more to come friday. you're gun porn is weak btw, what's up with those shotgun shells under the ear protection in the upper right of the picture? Ya have brass hulls or something? those are what were leftover from my last session before I left NY, and are mixed loads. the dark ones are winchester AA. the spaces without shells in them were my handloaded flechettes that I fired off before I packed up to move to FL, after learning they are illegal down here. My gun porn isnt weak there is a gun in it! There is a lot of ammo in that picture, its just stacked as compactly as I could manage, and is deceivingly small. Anyway, gotta go out to the property and check the lumber there for useable 2x material to cut up for stick racing saturday.

Damn bro, and I was thinking 400 rounds of everything was enough for the shoot out. damn man I guess you really mean to shoot out when you go shooting :D :D :D That man is a true believer of the Saiga fate. He will have 70 virgin saigas 12G and rifles when he reaches paradise as a good practitioner of the Saiga fate. Edited February 29, 2008 by vjor
The-collectorFL 0
Hey Guys, all kidding aside. my S-12 is a virgin,I have not shot her yet. I bought a bunch of ammo my last outing to the store. I told the clerk to just throw several boxes of everything in 12 gauge in MY EARTH FRIENDLY cloth bags and she did. I was thinking a few hours ago about if that was wise. is their any ammo that is a no-no in that it will harm or damage my barrel or action. what about unplated and steel shot? that is my real concern. I know much more about gunsmithing rifles and handguns then shotguns, they really have been my weak link. I aim to change that but could use some info about what is safe for my barrel and could not find it in the faq's. is their a faqs on what ammo is safe or not for our weapon? TIA best regards david ps see you tomorrow!!
BULLPUP 0
Hi all, I just joined. I stumbled on the this site by accident. I had heard of a Saiga 12 but didn't know they were available in the us. Now I have just got to have one. What are the odds the day I find this site there is a big shootout less than an hour from my house. I'm excited to get to see all the different versions and mods before I buy one. Hopfully I'll get a chance to shoot one. I'll be the guy with the Mossberg Bullpup. Anyone is welcome to shoot it. See ya there.
Bvamp 604
this is exactly why we are inviting people to our gathering. bring some shells, and have at it all you want. the Saiga-12's diet consists of everything but the cheapest shells, and it also does not like SOME reduced recoil rounds as well. I will have a couple s12's there myself, I can show you what one looks like with about 10k rounds down it, and let you shoot the newest version of the basic deal, to show you what its like out of the box. There will be converted guns there as well to try. I am getting ready to leave here this morning. See you all there!
22_Shooter 1,560
Aw man, I'm freezing my ass off up here in NY, with a couple inches of snow on the ground, and all these guys are out blasting away in the sunshine . Can't wait to see the pics!
Bvamp 604
yup we were talking about you all up there with FatBoy, who came down from NY, and how it was 5 degrees and 8 inches of snow up there... and we were blowing shit up, getting sunburned, shooting our saigas (and a bunch of everything else), all to the pleasant sound of constant machine gun fire.... We will post pics over the next days. starting a new thread for that. Got to review two brand new off the boat saigas, a 109, and also a saiga-308-1. We also ran MANY shells down MANY guns out of a test version of the MD drum, and everyone was pretty pleased with it, and some suggestions for Mike will be sent to him for consideration. Ill take a picture of my shoulder tomorrow. I was raking the range all day with 15 pellet buckshot, myself. Saltpeter had the same complaint I did as well. We fired a LOT of shells. Stay tuned. Will start another thread. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE GUYS AT THE MANATEE GUN CLUB AND A HUGE THANKS TO CLYDE WOODS OF RAAC! ALSO, BIG THANKS TO JUGGERNAUT FOR PROVIDING SOME VERY COOL SHIRTS! ALSO A THANK YOU TO MIKE DAVIDSON FOR THE TEST SAMPLE. ....not one wiseass or asshole showed....what a great fuckin day. Turnout was around 30-40 I would guess, and everyone was good people. I am pretty much covered with burnt powder and sand, so ya have to forgive me if I go unpack a truckload of stuff and get cleaned up a little bit.
Bvamp 604
Oh yeh, we converted BULLPUP in one mag to the saiga-12.
BULLPUP 0
Well I managed to get home without getting stuck again Big thanks to everyone who helped extract my car from the quicksand. When my wife was on the phone with AAA the lady kept hearing all the gunfire and saying "get to a safe place!" :b After all that was over we had a good time. Because I found about this last minute I only made it to one shop for ammo, and all the had was 3" 00. I will NOT make that mistake again. I can hardly lift my arm I'm so sore. After shooting the Saiga 12 I have to have one. I going to the tampa gun show tommarow and cross my fingers. If I strike out can anybody give me some leads to Tampa area shops to check. Thank you Thank you

Glad you showed up, and had I known where you went (I saw your shotgun sitting there and knew you were around, but didnt see you anywhere, and I know now why that was), we all woulda helped get it done faster. (p.s.) I hope I didnt piss anyone off by raking the range every fresh setup with 10 rounds of 15 pellet buckshot Anyway, over to another thread, here is a pic from about 2 o clock.
