Bonesaw 1
Dad's got a pop riveter in the garage and that got me thinking, could I use pop rivets for the S-12 conversion or would that not work??? Really don't wanna have to go the screw route. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only things getting riveted are the trigger guard and the safety stop if I go that route right? Cobra 76 two 2,677
You could go that route if you don't mind the way it looks. They should hold ok, not too much stress on a trigger guard. You can always drill em out and replace them later.
headshot 52
They do look ugly but you could fill em with a little JB weld and sand them before you paint.
dave-0 0
You might want to use aircraft pop rivets called "cherry max". They are designed for shear and pullout and are rated for the same loads as solid rivets.
MD_Willington 11
These? http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/hapages/cherrymax.php
747mech 1
Hadn't thought of it myself, but Cherrymax would work. A washer "anvil" on the shank swages a locking ring on the pin before it snaps. Just be sure of the proper hole size and grip length. Or use screws.
