glitch308 0
I've mentioned before on this site that I'm fabricating my own stock and forend using some 1/4" birch plywood I found at Home Depot. Well, I went in to buy some more today and what they were selling wasn't anything like what I bought the last time. The good stuff has five uniform plys of birch. The new stuff has two very thin veneers of birch sandwhiching a single thicker layer of some unidentifiable crud. I wouldn't use it for kindling. (They did find what I was looking for on a high up shelf, but didn't know if they would ever get any more in.) I've been through several unsuccessful attempts, but I'm almost done, and if anyone is interested in details, I'll post them.
SaigaShooter 0
I'd be interested to see what your stock looks like. I made a thumbhole version for my 7.62 saiga from a pice of pine, then coated it with truck bed liner. So far, no problems.

SaigaShooter 0
I picked up the bedliner at AutoZone. Not sure if the pics question was directed at me or glitch, but here are pics of mine. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=1990
