pt92 4
I just got my Saiga 12 and before I fire it I want to clean the gas cylinder. I am not sure how to disassemble this. Is it just as easy as unscrewing it by hand? I checked the FAQ's but didn't find this. Please advise and thanks in advance! -Cheers

IndyArms 10,186
If you rotate the shotgun - barrel up then barrel down - and hear something "moving around inside it"... your piston is about as clean as its EVER going to get... shoot away! lol
pt92 4
Guys, Are there any videos or sequence pics that show how to clean a Saiga 12 Gas system? -Cheers
IndyArms 10,186
I am sure there are some out there somewhere... if you want video or pictures... But try this... There are no pics, but go to the 410 section, and read the sticky I wrote at the top about "tear down instructions". It is almost identical for the 410 as the S12. It should be very detailed and informative! Even without pics you shouldn't have ANY trouble. It should be very clear and easy to follow. Obviously you will need larger than 410 gauge brushes to clean a 12 gauge... but figure accordingly... It is also listed in the tech section... don't be afraid to check out other areas of the forum... theres more to Saiga than just the S-12! LOL
Gaddis 1,689
Guys, Are there any videos or sequence pics that show how to clean a Saiga 12 Gas system? -Cheers Hmm, do you know how sexual reproduction generally works? The hard part (like getting into the pants in the first place) will probably be getting the gas plug cap off.
