gtnichols 51
So I wanted to try out my Krebs Custom Ghost ring sites and a new stock configuration,. (also my new 9mm). the slug holes are about an inch in diameter. I was feeling pretty good at about 40 yards with the slugs and iron sites 15 yards for the pistol. I only missed paper once for these shown,.. I am pretty good about the up/down variations being a straight line, but getting it to center vertical is hard for me. gtnichols 51
I was using some steel frames a friend gave me for target support, 18 gauge steel,. they held up pretty good, except where I accidently centered a target on an frame part. I also tried some of that Noble Law enforcement Buckshot , it worked well.
THE_HUNTER 2
Nice shooting and a great looking S-12! I too am dangerous to target holders!
gtnichols 51
Thanks, I have to admit,. I had a lot of fun! I still need to work on my groupings
pedal2alloy 206
40 yards? You don't need to worry about those groups. I'd say that you and your shotgun are "effective"
Franky 2
Nice shootin'
tt_ 0
32 gram S&B Special Slugs, original iron sights, 30 metres. That black marking was the aiming point and those smaller holes are made by zinc shots, not good. Gasblock is little bit canted, so I need to give some hammer for the rear sight... or replace those original sights.
gtnichols 51
30 meters might be close to 40 yards. I was standing for all shots. I measured by my steps, and I am 6'2" and have long legs. did you have that shotgun clamped in a vice? that is one tight group! very nice! Ok, so some more specs on the slugs would be good. Brenneke K.O. Slug "Shotgun slugs with a punch" 12 GA 2 3/4" 70MM Made in Germany,... they did shoot kinda high at 40 yards but I was using high powered binoculars to check after each shot to adjust the sighting. It was educational for me. Edited August 6, 2008 by Gas Giant
tt_ 0
No, I was using wooden fence as a support. S&B Special Slug + 22" 18,3mm (improved cylinder) barrel. It's a pity shot patterns are not better than I supposed. I have more pattern pics if someone likes to see. I tested Nobel Sport Percorso cartridges.
chriskc04 1
Nice shootin! I'm a little new to this...is that some kind of crazy conversion from someone?
gtnichols 51
Hi, and welcome to the forum. Nope I mostly made this conversion myself after trying a few different ,.. pieces parts,... except I had a gunsmith cut the barrel down from 21" to 18.5". I Like the Brenneke 1oz slugs for the price and accuracy, "Ammunition to go" has them for $80.00 for 100qty,.. For my next trick, I have ordered the S12 Crowning and thread tapping kit from Dinzag so I can install a polychoke. Nice shootin! I'm a little new to this...is that some kind of crazy conversion from someone?
