Kvar buttstock vs Tapco buttstock

Recommended Posts

Which one and for what reason? I'm contemplating my .308 conversion, and would like to switch from the skeleton stock I have on there now to some sort of fixed stock with a pistol grip. I've pretty much settled on a ergo grip, and I'm not too concerned with the hand guard right now, but I would like to know some opinions of these 2 buttstocks. Of course, the tapco is cheaper, but from reading dinzag's site, the Kvar has a storage space in the stock.

Other pros/cons?

I have both (sitting in a box, I wound up going with wood). The Tapco feels sturdier to me, the kvar is cleaner looking.

Really, that' surprising. I figured the tapco would be flimsy, what with my experience with the rest of their stuff. What do you mean cleaner looking? does the tapco have rough edges, or visible injection seams, something along those lines?

i have a tapco on my 7.62 but i think im going to order a K-Var instead. i need a NATO length since the Warsaw feels too damn small...

Are you a big guy? I'm leaning towards the kvar, mainly because I'm digging the idea of a storage space in the stock.
