elvis christ 451
Which one and for what reason? I'm contemplating my .308 conversion, and would like to switch from the skeleton stock I have on there now to some sort of fixed stock with a pistol grip. I've pretty much settled on a ergo grip, and I'm not too concerned with the hand guard right now, but I would like to know some opinions of these 2 buttstocks. Of course, the tapco is cheaper, but from reading dinzag's site, the Kvar has a storage space in the stock. Other pros/cons?
Reverendfranz 160
kvar has an accurate styling with clean lines, other than the added length, it is identical to eastern european stock from a 74, including as you said, the cleaning kit storage space. elvis christ 451
Apparently, there are 2 different lengths that you can get.
Reverendfranz 160
yes. the upper one is a little longer, a nicer fit for anyone with a little longer arms. the "warsaw" length is identical to the original eastern european stocks
layer 0
I have both (sitting in a box, I wound up going with wood). The Tapco feels sturdier to me, the kvar is cleaner looking.

What do you mean cleaner looking? does the tapco have rough edges, or visible injection seams, something along those lines?
fal_762x51 0
The Tapco stock came with drywall screws for the stock/tang mount (cheap asses). Other then that, it feels sturdy to me.
sicktooth 8
i have a tapco on my 7.62 but i think im going to order a K-Var instead. i need a NATO length since the Warsaw feels too damn small...

Are you a big guy? I'm leaning towards the kvar, mainly because I'm digging the idea of a storage space in the stock.
