JDNJ1985 0
Yes, I know...I can fill it with sand, mud, yadda yadda. I'd like to know the most common or pro way of cleaning the rifle. Military technique, whatever! Also need to know which materials to use, how to use the cleaning kit, etc. Is there a good write up online somewhere? Also, I still have some slight metallic powder/residue in some areas from drilling earlier on. What is the best way to remove it? Some places are quite hard to get at. Thanks guys, -Joe Edited December 9, 2008 by JDNJ1985

wlnt 2
'JDNJ1985' One thing is really all you need to take care of your rifle after you get the original "grease" off. Break -Free is a CLP (cleaner, lubricant. protectant) that is a mil-spec product. It is used to lubricate the mini-guns (that spit out over a thousand rds. a minute). I figure if its good enough to stand up to that, then I will never need to use anything else. louielouie p.s. Of course they make a bore cleaner and other stuff too, but I figure they only do it to keep their product in competition in all aspects with the other manufacturers.
