While surfing gunbroker yesterday I came across these two items:

Here is the magwell link:

Here is the magazine link:

Does anyone have any knowledge of these items or this seller? The seller is located in New Zealand. All positive Gunbroker feedback but only one as a seller and that was in 2006.

He states in the listing that these are factory items...

What's the deal?

Please comment/advise.

Gun City is NZ's premier firearms retailer. They are able to sell versions of the saiga we cannot get here in the states as well as the vepr12 but they must not have a standard pistol grip for or magazine over 7 rounds for A-Cat. So they attach a section to make into a T-hole stock.

Those are indeed the Factory magwell & magazine upgrade. I had Red Stick do my conversion and put one on. Nice but it is indeed pricey. :)

Are the magwell and mags constructed from metal?

What is used for a mag release?

What is required to attach the magwell?

Will AGP and/or stock 5 round mags work in that magwell? (Modification probably necessary)

How about the MD20 drum?

The magwell & mags are constructed of a polymer type material.

The original mag release is used.

Cutting of the frame to fit the magazine and a allen screw at the front.

Front lug has to be cut off of AGP and I wouldn't waste a factory mag but sell it and get another AGP.

MD20 drum will not work.

Magwells are the same material as the stock 5 round mags. you use the same mag release to release the mag. Don't know about 5 rounder but AGPs can be modified to work. won't work the md20.

Check out these vids of the magwell being used.

I'll vouch for this. Jeff was swell enough to let me shoot both his saigas and use all his ammo. I loved the magwell conversion the best
