zipgun 0
Originally a 22" standard model. The internals and SAW grip are from DPHarms. The stock is off a AR15 and was originally a fixed post ban telestock. I made it into a regular telestock and added an AR stock adaptor. Barrel was cut to 18" and vent holes were added to the forestock. Overall length with the stock all the way in is 35". BTW, I used stainless steel pop rivets to secure the trigger guard. I also notched the safety lever so that it can be used to hold the bolt open. Edited February 2, 2005 by zipgun

zipgun 0
I just cut a notch in the lever to hold the bolt. The nice thing is that you push the lever just a little bit to release the bolt to chamber a round and the safety stays on. It works so well I went back and notched the safeties on both my SAR1 and MAK90s. Notice that I used pop rivets to fill in the holes in the receiver and keep the trigger guard on. Still have some painting and refinishing to do on the reciever. Edited February 3, 2005 by zipgun
mp2go1 0
good job so far, head to wal mart or whatever other store and buy some krylon bbq paint(its a perfect match). take the grip off and heat the receiver just a little somehow (hair dryer, heat gun, torch) to prevent runs, then give a couple of light coats to that naked receiver, rivets, and any scratches that may have come during the conversion. stick a fork in it, your done. G O B 3,516
Try a birchwood casey 'super black' touch up pen. It's basicly a magic marker filled with aluma-hyde. Works great and matces perfect. Got mine at sports authority for a couple bucks. G O B
