hoop762 0 Posted February 7, 2005 Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 let me be the first to say, WELCOME! the "punch" type tool that come with the saiga can be used for many things, from removal of pins in the receiver to dissassembly of the magazine. I have heard from others they have a tendancy to bend, but i have had no problems with mine. Other, more experienced users will be able to come up with more uses that I, im sure. Glad to have you aboard here. all the guys here are really cool and always willing to lend a helping hand. JWysenski762 0 Posted February 7, 2005 Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 i have 2 0f them. i bent one and use it to clean the gas block, and the other one i mostly use for removing the firing pin. if you look on the bolt you will see a pin that is just off center. push it out about a quarter inch and your firing pin should fall out. you want to make sure you keep this nice and clean so you dont get slam fires. Bvamp 604 Posted February 27, 2005 Report Share Posted February 27, 2005 you can also ream your gas port with it....i was always told it was the gas port reamer.......it just works for other things it should work on the 7.62 gas port just fine on both AKM and SKS....
