DrediKnight 0 Posted April 11, 2009 Report Share Posted April 11, 2009 So I just got my brand new s-12 out of DROS lockup today and brought it home and while looking it over noticed the muzzle crown is dinged up. It is not a true circle but is slightly dented on one side. The thread protector was also only loosely tightened on. Is this going to affect much? I'm guessing that it will make the patterning off. Will it be safe to shoot slugs out of? Should I: Send it back for repairs Have it repaired by a local smith (is this an easy fix?) Leave it and just shoot. Anyone else have this issue on a new s-12? I would shoot some buck and bird shot and see of that straightened it out, then some slugs, that is so small I had to look twice to see what you were talking about. Is it worse in person? I wouldn't send it back for a dent like that though, take it to any good shotgun smith with a dent puller. That dent will be gone in 5 min. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
