kresk 10,063
Bead blast it with 80 grit aluminum oxide and have it parkerized before you paint it. Have used Brownells Bake On Lacquer that holds up very well.

railman1 0
I recently used 120 grit aluminum oxide to strip mine..I ran out and had the job finished with..baking soda!.. Then rust blued the gun. The parts done with aluminum oxide turned out great..the parts done with baking soda?..I had to use sand paper to finish them. You can also use aircraft paint stripper but it wont give the metal the "surface bite" it needs to get the best results from some finishes.
