waynebar 52
Anyone have a preference on the conventional vertical fore grip mounted directly below the barrel, as compared to an offset or canted vertical grip?
sacsucks 3
My 2 cents is that the canted version is fine, but it looks weird to me. I like symmetry with the look of my guns and the canted version looks like it was installed incorrectly. Someone told me once that the canted ones tend to put more pressure on the mount when you torque it, so he preferred the straight under the barrel type.
Azrial 1,091
I have never tried one, and my mind is not closed on the subject, but I think that it would destroy the natural pointability of the firearm.
PRISONSHANK 70
i would like to try that Krebs canted grip, just to see if its any better when reachin around a drum.
eadodd 0
I would think that a canted grip should work as well as a standard vertical grip. I would give it a try............
BobAsh 582
I've shot a STEN. The vertical grip is better and helps control rise better.
mstranglr 9
I dont like VFGs on AKs at all. They get in the way of my magazine rock-ins, hang up on slings, and heavy use seems to make some Lower handguards pretty loose over time. I use to run VFGs on my ARs, but removed them as I found my accuracy was much improved without them. My wife stopped using VFGs too because they kept hanging-up on her chest rig when we took carbine classes. These days, I like the ergonomics of VFGs on SBRs, but not on rifles.
