NH_Joe 0
It looks like I'm only a few months away from getting the call from Tromix, so now I'm getting serious about deciding what I want him to do. I've got an S17 (his 8" SBS) so I'm thinking about either the S02 or S06. The S02 has the 16.5" barrel with permanently attached brake, while the S06 is the same except the barrel is 19" and the brake can be removed. I like the look of the shorter barrel, but I'm not sure I'm up for a permanently attached brake. Thoughts? Experiences? Thanks, Joe
Jdhonda810 29
definitely go with the 19" barrell. You can add your own style to the brake whenever you want with ease.
fasdfs 5
My current Tromix has an 18.5" threaded barrel with a shark brake attached. My next Tromix will definitely be 16.5" with a permanently attached muzzle device. If I had gotten an SBS when I got mine, I would be going for the longer threaded barrel on my next shotgun, personally.
DogMan 2,343
I love my SO6. Personally I wouldn't give up the flexibility in muzzle attachments for a slightly shorter barrel. The looks of a weapon are important to all of us, thats half the fun of this game, but I've never been able to put asthetics above any potential operational, reliability, or ballisic shortfalls that a "cooler" looking gun may bring. I'm not saying thats necessarily the case here, just my philosophy in general. But what floats my boat may not float yours so do whatever makes you smile.

Joe Joe I have the S06 and like it alot it has become the firearm that we shoot the most. 300 rounds so far and my 13 year son has shot half of them. You can always shorten the barrel latter but it's rather difficult adding length. Dean
