aka108 0
Way back when, the gas ports on many sk and ak's entered the barrel at roughly a 45 degree angle and it was no problem to insert a brush or similar item into the port to clean it out. More recent versions have the gas port at a 90 degree angle. Any of you good people out there found a good convenient way to get anything into the vertical port for cleaning out any accumulated crud??? Sure like to hear something from someone. Thanks!!!!! verdejt 0
I have a SAR-1 that I occassionally use pipe cleaners on. I just got my Saiga 308 and haven't had to clean it yet.
Bvamp 604
well, my SAR1's port is defiantely cleanable with the gas port reamer in the cleaning kit that came with it, but I tell ya, my saiga12 has a triple hole port that just wont let the tool enter. What Ive used is a bent saftey pin to clean the ones on my s12 out.
