RobRez 1,895
Well, the weather did not permit the drywall over penetration tests we wanted to do this weekend. However we did sneak in a few pumpkins! The ones with no mask are shot with a .44 mag 240gr. JSP. The one with the mask is 12ga. 00 Buck. The masks helped to hold the pumpkin together. That was less than desirable. I think I will try a simple mask held on by a single strap next time. I couldn't believe the moment of impact shots with the .44 mag!! I thought they were nice enough to share. I must say that the .44 mag performed much better than other pistols I've tried.
thehopping1 105
Damn, I wonder what a slug would have done to the mask. Cool shots man, looks like fun.
elvis christ 451
That top right pic is awesome.
David Mark 2,452
Those impact photos are great. Were you using the burst mode on the camera or just excellent timing?
RobRez 1,895
It was all just lucky timing with the camera! I set the camera on sport mode which shoots 11 frames per second. One guy with the camera says go, Other guy shoots. Lots of luck and a lot more fun! The top right was a .44 mag but the integrity of the pumpkin was previously compromised. I noticed that a cracked pumpkin or watermelon gives much more dramatic results. So if you have a damaged pumpkin don't worry, it'll blow up good!
shades_of_grey 1,092
Damn, I wonder what a slug would have done to the mask. Cool shots man, looks like fun. Yeah. I've decided that I'm gonna get some truly interesting pics of some serious destruction, (realistic "zombie" heads getting perforated and at least one heated propane tank exploding). Gimme a couple months; hopefully less but money is tight atm. edit: WaffenSchmied, you wanna help? Edited October 7, 2009 by post-apocalyptic
