Raven66Crowley 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Report Share Posted October 17, 2009 Hello all! I just shot my new Saiga-12 today for the first time. Yes, I'm excited and just had to share it. I broke it in with about 100 rounds. Starting with mags and then 2 3/4 slugs. After about three boxes of that I went to low brass Feds 1 oz. shots. Didn't cycle on #1 switched to #2 and worked flawless. Here is the thing, I have been reading all the threads about gas ports with 3 holes and four holes. Mine has only TWO on a 18 1/2 inch barrel. I was worried at first when I saw that, but after shooting today I was a happy Saiga-12 owner. Maybe the two gas ports are bigger than normal?? I clean it and oiled it up good before I took it out.
