Thanks,

Sometimes I need someone to point out the obvious to me (texasaktriggers.com) LOL.

Unfortunately I know about the recent hard times of MSA. I've been saving for conversion parts for awhile and had that site bookmarked from awhile back. I ordered the fcg from MSA just before the end of 09. Later I read through the threads here & was like ahhh  Dang It !!!

But for some reason texasaktriggers.com still didn't come to mind. Well, now I know & I'll have my parts soon enough I guess.

Thanks again.

IMO its the best trigger made for the AK patterned rifle/shotgun

Me too

I have one, it's OK. I would rather have the Tapco G2, specially for installation in the Saiga 12.

What do you like better about the G2? I like the hammer angle and the grip lines on the trigger of the Texas. I like the double hooks so I can fit it for over travel. I have used tapco's double hook to do the same.

I have a Texas AK FCG in my Romy, it works OK, I honestly have had no problems with it.

I like that Tapgo G2 is a much easier fit to the Saiga12 and the geomertry is more correct to what should be in a Russian gun. I also like the trigger pull that I can get from the G2. The double vs single hook is a non-issue as the Tapgo is available both ways. I also like the lifetime warranty from a company that has been around for many years, and that fact that Tapco is a supporting vendor here!

How many more reasons do I need? :D

  • 2 months later...

there is another prob with the Texas ak trigger; it is great in most all ak's, but not Saigas- it does not quite fit right, and you may have to file down one of the hooks, to get it to fit and work right.

Otherwise , it is a fabulous trigger, and feels real good and smooooove when you pull it...

you do not need to file the hooks....just cut another notch for the "double hook"
