anyone ever tried converting

one of these to function in the .223 Saiga?

bulky as shit though....

 

worst part is holding the rifle anywhere near your body. drum is always in the way. it sticks way out there.....

 

nothing like a Beta C-Mag......

 

people on GunBroker can make a feed tower for this that will work on saiga .223. i guarantee it. I saw one in a Galil. If a Galil mag can work in a saiga .223...then sounds like we have a winner.

 

i will try and find a link. I bought 2 feed towers off them for the MP5 9mm betas to use on Colt SMG 9mm......

I wouldnt be so sure they can be adapted. The Galil has a wider magwell, which lets you have room for a adapter. I have yet to try it, becasue I don't want to throw away 85 bucks on an adapter I cant use, but just from the way Galail mags fit the Saiga and the looks of the adapters, I wouldn't bet on them fitting. That's of course unless you mod the rifle to only fit Galil mags.
