frankd4 1
I was at a three gun match and seen a Saiga SBS that had the Vent hole on the gas block drilled and tapped with a small screw in it The guy said that he needed the extra gas and did not need to vent the excess gas Has any one seen or herd of this before? Racer 27 37
From my understanding of that hole, it is so that the air behind the puck has a place to go.
frankd4 1
tahnks, that is what I figured by the location of it,It won't be the strangest thing just when I thought I seen it all.
Paulyski 2,227
The rumor about sealing that hole seems to have been started a while back. Out of desperation, some people try EVERYTHING to get theirs running. (especially when they see they have 3 unobstructed ports, but fail to notice they are too small) As I'm sure many have figured out, being as that hole is on the opposite side of the puck as the ports, the hole being plugged will not help the gas move the puck any better & in fact plugging it can have negative effects on the gun's operation. Cobra 76 two 2,677
Don't cover that hole. If there are any effects they will not be positive.
