gunboy69 50
I bought these at the gunshow this weekend and just got a chance today to try them out. Neither gun has an external choke. Here are the guns used. The 410 sight was dead,so I was shooting high but you get the idea. As shown in these pictures, the .410 has three plated discs and 12 plated pellets. The 12 gauge has three pellets of 00 plated buckshot and 1 .oz rifled slug. I know the .410 round was developed for the Taurus Judge pistol ,so I was curious to see how it performed out of a smooth bore. While the rifled barrel of the pistol works with the disks by spinning them,it works against the pellets by spreading them out. I think the results were pretty good. They were superb with the 12 gauge ,but I would have liked the .410 disks to spread a little more. At least you know they were all in there. The shots were fired from 20 feet. I fired 2 of the 410 rounds, and it looks like all the discs went through one hole both times. I believe the second hole is the wad. Final thoughts Pro: I wouldn't want to be on the other end of either. Con: It will cost you $30.00 to fill up your drum.

Dad2142Dad 6,559
Nice testing, I have a Judge and was wondering what the pattern would be from a smooth bore.
Mullet Man 2,114
Good show. I picked up a 10pack of the 12g stuff around Christmas, for $10.xx on sale at Farm & Fleet.
