whitetrashrn 74
Thanks Sal.. Those handguards are the tits. Lower handguard fits the hand like a glove.. It doesn't look much more than decoration but it works great. Put 40 through it in a row, some fast some slow and very little heat.. The SS liner works..
donniec1 0
what size did you drill the gas port in the barrel?
whitetrashrn 74
God it was a while but I do believe it was 1/8". I have put about 8-900 rounds down range with it and it runs outstanding. I am in the middle of a Krink Kit and am taking my time. It took some time but he Trunnion, Bolt, and carriers #s match. It has to be headspaced and drilled so the #s arent that big a deal other than for looks. Just waiting for my check to get cashed and get some paperwork before I do any more on the Krink.. Good luck..
donniec1 0
Thanks. I hear that the gas port size in the barrel is critical. I know the Lancaster Arms AK-74 recalled builds had an oversized gas port and it slammed the bolt carrier so hard to the rear that it started knocking out the rear trunion rivets. Good luck in the new build. Keep us posted.
