AtlSaiga 25
So whats up with this whole 3 degree angle thing I've seen discretely sprinkled throughout various threads? I take it to mean that not only are you supposed to cut off the tang but also machine the rear to 3 degrees for a proper conversion. Has this always been the case or is this a new fad? What does that mean for all the people that 1) home-converted, or had the conversion done for them and NOT had the machining done [if this is in-fact a new trend]? Are any of the prominent converting companies doing this? I've been to almost all their websites and not one lists that as part of the process? Is this something you have to ask/pay for as a special upgrade, or has it just become proper conversion etiquette?
YOT 3,743
I didn't do exact "degree" measurements when I built my stock so I can't say for sure, but three* is pretty close. The end of the receiver is square with the top of the receiver, not the bottom. The bottom and the top are not parallel. I don't know why you would need to machine the receiver for a typical conversion.
KC913 324
ACE internal blocks are supposed to incorporate the 3 degree angle, though it doesn't really matter. Edited January 5, 2011 by KC913

jamesmadison 55
I meant to reply to the OP. Sorry.
BobAsh 582
It's something that Tromix does. Tony invented it. Mount your Stock at whatever angle looks best to you, it's not rocket science.
