D1RTYD22 0 Posted April 1, 2011 Report Share Posted April 1, 2011 im thinking about getting a quad rail for my s7.62 and have to get a lower handguard retainer and a new gas tube to pull it off right. Good and solid, light weight. Plus the cost is reasonable. Only down side is that it's made in China, so if you were going to include the hand guard as a part for 922r compliance, you're out of luck. paprotective 362 Posted May 6, 2011 Report Share Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) You can PEEL off the factory cover off the factory gas tube if needed.. 4 corner spot welds.. (again if needed). Some people run just the lower HG retainer and not the AK type gas tube and report 0 issues.. you will however have a GAP on the top tube area near the Quad.. You will need a lower HG retainer.. CSS has/had them for like $30.. or you can go with Dinzag for more.. You can also try a Midwest industries (US made) one for like $120..
