Dorky_D 8
I bought a new gas tube so I can put AK handguards on my rifle. The Saiga one has a spring on the reciever end of the gas tube. How can I take that off and put it on the new one?
stnls1911 55
I think I used a small flat-head screwdriver. It shouldn't take much prying to get it over the lip that holds it in.

toshbar 36
My east german gas tube from APEX didn't need one. It actually needed the gas block end ground down a bit to fit. I went slow and got it to fit snug when the cam latch is locked.
pjj342 632
I never had one on my x39 rifle, and it works just fine. I think its only needed if your tube doesnt lock into place, tight, when you push the lever down. Its probably to prevent it from rattling, than for anything else.
