my762buzz 141
When the single stack 10/63's were 299.00, that was probably the best AK deal going. Dremel and test fit to your liking. Prices have gone up since the romanians are putting new hammer forged chrome lined barrels on. still a great deal though. The best AK deals I ever saw over ten years ago were regular saigas $150, Robarm Veprs $400, Arsenal Sam7 $400-450, and at the same time Romanian SAR1 $200-$250 and single stack WASR 10 $100-$150 and dealers I knew couldn't give the WASR 10 rifles away back then. There were places selling AKM parts kits for $75 and ammo could be cheaply bought for $60 to $70 per 1000.

t3mac21 1
But it does have a third "y" stamp which is kind of cool. I think they all do. Mine does, and I've never seen one without it. not 100 percent positive though.
Saiga_rom 91
Ok, these are great responses, does anyone have any opinions on the WASR that I should hear? yes i do. WASR's are great rifles. it seems some people hate them, but regardless of that, if you find one that doesnt have canted sights, then it will work very well for you. its been said that the only thing thats cheap on a wasr is the lack of finish on the wood furniture. dust feeder 2
I feel like I'm a little late on this thread but I'm with the majority that says buy the saiga now! If moneys an issue (which it is for about 99% of us) keep it in its sporting form (since u said u liked that) or do a simple conversion. Pg, stock, and fcg can be converted for around $75 with good parts. Switch to wood furnature, add a bullet guide, and do your front end as you get to it. Cost of this shouldn't be too far off from a wasr and you'll be getting what u ultimately want from the begining. Also, since u can keep the fcg and black plastic pg like a wasr he only thing extra you'll be spending $ on is the stock if u replace it with wood down the road.
