  1. so true man, california firearms laws are restrictive and downright stupid. cant own high capacity mags, but you can buy all the high capacity mag rebuild kits you want. need a bullet button on an AK, but when you buy the rifle, they also give you the wrenches to remove the bullet button... need NFA certification for SBRs, but you can easily buy an AR lower and a 14" M4 upper. they say these laws are to prevent crime, but they just dont understand, the only people who are affected by the laws are the law abiding citizens
  2. ...and it's a hoot to shoot in 10GA BP! i bet it is man, ive always wanted a 10 gauge shotgun. an 1887 chambered in that round would literally be a dream gun. id buy one right now if i had the money
  3. a little off topic here, but something which occurred to me awhile ago is that it might be a good idea for this type of situation to also get a powerful bow with plenty of arrows and spare arrow heads. you can hunt deer indefinitely with that as long as you can retrieve your arrows. plus it wont make any noise to attract unwanted attention. as for the topic of necessary firearms though, id have to agree, 12 gauge pump, reliable 22 rifle and some kind of reliable handgun would be the bare essentials.
  4. a draco in pistol configuration may take a little getting used to when firing, but other than that, they are very capable firearms, powerful, and damn reliable. it really is alot of firepower in a small package. dracos are also very exotic looking. as a firearms enthusiast, you cant help but get excited holding one. id say get the draco first, you will not be disappointed with it
  5. WASR10 was my first AK variant, and ive been very happy with it. it is without a doubt one of my favorite firearms
  6. wow... right into a semi too. i hope the driver was ok
  7. thats understandable. as it is, the gas piston on my s12 and s308 are solid, same for my draco too. this issue is only present on the full size AKM, which is a WASR10. i just wanted to make sure this wasnt a problem which could lead to a kaboom if i ignored it.
  8. i cant help but get offended when i hear the things gun haters have to say about firearms.... because of course it makes perfect sense to blame an inanimate object for the actions of a person right??
  9. thanks hog, im glad to hear that. the piston/bolt assembly still seemed solid enough, but i was concerned because non of my other AK variants have this issue.
  10. After coming back from the range the other day I dissembled my AKM to clean it, and noticed that the gas piston and bolt assembly had become somewhat loose, whereas normally, the piston and bolt assembly would be firmly connected, there now is slight wobble in the piston. I was wondering what the severity of this is, is it ok to ignore? or should i invest in a new bolt/gas piston assembly?
  11. i wouldnt mind if kim kardashian made an occasional appearance on a gun show, id just watch it on mute. no matter how obnoxious she is, shes still beautiful as for the original topic though, im looking forward to this new show, and the next season of sons of guns. ican only imagine what kind of hardware wills gonna be building. seriously, whats next? anti aircraft weapons? lol
  12. The wood grip panels on that gun are replacements....the originals had a bullet hole through them (and the metal pistol grip frame underneath the grips) geez man, really? thats kinda eerie. i bet that rifle is incredibly valuable though. id be happy with a reproduction model. an actual piece of history is way beyond my price range
  13. (emphasis mine) Btw, M. Kalashnikov would slap the taste outta your mouth for suggesting this. true, Kalashnikov would be irate to hear someone made that assumption, so i suppose i agree with you to the extent that i shouldnt jump to conclusions like that. i wouldnt know if he based his design off the STG44 or not. but you have to admit, there is one hell of a resemblance between the two rifles.
  14. that is absolutely beautiful. i want to buy one, although id prefer it chambered in 7.62x39 rather than the 8mm kurz
  15. hey will, is there any possibility you could mention the STG44 on your show? practically everyone knows about the AK47, but likely fewer people know where the design initially came from
