sickness 89
Hi all, So, I'm setting up my 5.45x39 Saiga with an ACE folding stock. I've been surveying the different rail options that won't interfere with the folder, and none really appeal to me.. my main reason for wanting a red dot is for sighting in low light conditions, so I've been thinking of scraping the rail and red dot altogether, and saving the weight. I've been looking at different night sight packages for the AK, and I have a few questions. First, a more general question .. will sights meant for an AK47 work on my 5.45x39 Saiga? I guess that the range indicator marks won't correspond - thats OK, but will it mechanically work? I believe it should, but I just want to confirm. Is there a night sight set that is particularly recommended? I like the Meprolight set, but I'd like to hear opinions from people who've used some of this stuff. 20nickels 21
Can't comment on the sets, but Ace makes a windage drum that accepts AR front sights. Will only work if you have zero FS cant or you do some dremeling. I used this with a thin post Trijicon and a Kreb's peep rear to get a very fast and accurate sight picture. Tech sights also accept AR rear peeps, but I cannot comment. Good luck!
XXasdf 29
Never tried the meprolight set but Xs sights makes excellent tritium front and strip rear sights for the AK.
lbsrdi 1,078
Is there a clear choice for the best night sights or are they pretty much the same?
