Jasper 19
OK, other than Tony making some headway on parts which we all hope to be out soon is there any scuttlebut, rumors, inuendo, gossip or just guessing on when mags will hit the market and in what form? Id like to just see a 12 round mag body with a new spring. But an all new mag ready to go wouldnt suck either.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Since it is currently illegal to use a mag over 5 rds in the weapon, people are not talking about them yet. At least I assume that's why we haven't heard anything yet. When Tony and others are finished making enough compliance parts, and it's actually an option, you will see mag threads starting up I'm sure. I already have a 12 rd mag myself, I just can't use it or sell any until we get our required compliance parts... BTW 12 rds is pretty long, a double stack would be a much better option. I'm looking at making one to try, once I get some more compliance parts.
Jasper 19
Double stack would be the best way but I wouldn't care if they come in a single stick.
theturtlepond 31
Has anybody decided on the total foreign parts count? Last I heard it was 13-15. I am pretty sure somebody's is 922 compliant already.
Scott Kenny 144
I will bet Tony's was 922r compliant about 30 minutes after it came out of the box! Tony has been talking about a whole pile of compliance parts made, including a whole new lower receiver!
guncats 4
how many US parts are needed to be compliant?
physicsnerd 139
how many US parts are needed to be compliant? It is not the US parts total that matters but the number of foreign parts. To be 922r compliant you can have no more than 10 foreign made parts. It doesn't matter if the gun has 1 US made part or 10. saillaw 2
So to be clear, if I have more than 10 foreign parts on my MKA 1919 and I use a 10 round magazine, I'm violating Federal Law?
TonyRumore 1,332
No. Just more than 10 foreign parts on the ATF's top 20 list. Tony
