tdp378 1
So if the 7.62 has 14 foreign parts, the mods listed below should take care of 4 of them keeping me at no more than 10: Trigger Group - 3 parts AK Surplus Magazine with US made floor plate or follower- 1 part I am using surplus handguard and buttstock but a US grip - so this is irrelevant to the count. I should be legal right? Receiver Barrel Mounting block (front trunion) Bolt Bolt carrier Gas piston Trigger - USA Hammer - USA Disconnector - USA Buttstock Forearm, handguard Magazine body Follower Floorplate - USA Edited October 19, 2011 by tdp378
tdp378 1
No one even has an opinion? Well ive decided to not mess with the mags but to replace the piston instead. This will give me my parts and I can use whatever mag i want. visit my blog. I am taking video of my conversion every step of the way siagaconversion.wordpress.com
TARE 47
looks to be compliant http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildSaigaVerifyCompliance I hate using the mag parts for compliance since I have 7.62 drums that I'd like to use. Stick to the mags you've changed the floorplates out on and you'll be cool should you be the first person ever for me to hear get check for compliance.
zer0t 0
I think that each piece of furniture counts. Since you are adding the pistol grip it doesn't reduce the number of foreign parts but, from what I can tell, counts as an American part.
BigChongus 765
Looks fine.
G O B 3,516
Put a USA piston in it and then you can use whatever mag you want.
Sim_Player 1,939
Both handguards count as 1 compliant part if both are US made.
308SAIGA 55
If it was a Saiga rifle converted, the pistol grip does NOT count as a compliant part. Saiga's never had a PG when imported.
