NickWhite 7
I'm having a problem remembering how to zero my sights. When I went shooting a couple days ago I forgot my tools to zero my S223, it was shooting up and right. To zero do I go left and down?
gregomega 929
I "think" to lower your POI, raise the front sight post, and vise versa. to move your POI to the left, move your IS drum to the right, I could be wrong. Thank you for your help If im way off ill give the front sight post two full turns. As I get closer to the Point of Impact, i use 1 turn or 1/4 turn depending.

Doing that will put you even Farther up and right.
DrThunder88 912
Yep. Your front sight should "chase" the impacts.
Slugger 1
Rear sight adjustments move the direction you want to go. Front sight adjustments are opposite. If you want your POI to move down and left, you want to unscrew your front sight post and drift the barrel to the right. "Chase" your impacts . . . I like that. Easy to remember. outbackrider 0
How far away do you start the zero process??? 25, 50 yards and then work up to 100???
NickWhite 7
For my .308, since it's my hunting rifle and it's scoped I zero at 50. Because at 50 yards it's pretty much zeroed at 250yards and roughtly am inch high at 100 ...in theory.
DrThunder88 912
I try to figure out what my POI should be (roughly) at 25yds for a 100yd zero before going to the range. I'll get it close to that at 25yds before moving up to 100yds to confirm it.
outbackrider 0
Thanks, that's what I thought, just wanted to confirm....
