johnboatcat 24
I got tired of this thing catching and snagging on everything. It also bit me twice, so I whacked it off. Warning. This is one tough mother to cut.

Montana3gunner 13
Totally agree with you. I have a Tromix break, but am worried that within a match or two I will jab that thing into my leg and earn myself a trip to the ER. If I decide to mount that break, I plan grinding the point ends off. Did your mods affect the performance of your brake?
Jasper 19
I always fail to see the point of the mall ninja door breaching muzzle attachments. If its a issue of form following function so be it. Its kind of like people who INSIST on having a bayo lug on a AR.

johnboatcat 24
"Did your mods affect the performance of your brake?" I haven't had a chance to test it yet but I don't think it will. It only lost about half an inch and most of that was air.
chris71 12
what did you use to cut it? i hate the teeth on my as well and have thought of doing this.
johnboatcat 24
Sawzall. No mill or lathe, so I chopped it. Do it slowly stopping frequently to dissipate the heat. Very rough cut then smoothed down starting with large bench grinder. Next to a smooth stone in a drill held by the vice. Next to emery paper on a flat surface. Then finer and finer polishing wheels on the dremmel. Finished to mirror with paste polish and dremmel cloth polishing wheel. I did a slight crown on the muzzle surface using what I call a "tootsie pop" grinding stone on the inside and a dremmel stone on the outside. Felt like it took longer to cut than finish. When my wife came home she said, "Well I see you spent my Valentine money on a new break!", so even though it was chopped it does not look it now. MOJO@RJF 12
You might be surprised that you may have lost a bit of perfomance.
