GrandLotus 0
Hello everyone, I was doing some looking around these fourms and have done some research about these rails. My research has lead me to two questions: 1) Is this rail NOT made of aluminum and make of plastic? 2) I would have to screw in the attachments and they would not lock in? Im confussed about how this works because I am a traditionalist and am new to tactical set ups. Thank you!

GrandLotus 0
Thats what I thought and thats why I had made this post. So im guessing..correct me if im wrong, please. 1) This rail system is made of aluminum. and 2) This rail accepts the standard type of attachments.

The_Caged_Bird 474
Ah, yeah, definitely aluminum, also, you don't have to install the top portion of the rail system if you don't want/need to. Just something good to know...
GrandLotus 0
Okay. Im probally just going to go ahead and purchase the top piece also. I feel as though this will provide a stronger hold for the unit as a whole. Has anyone had an experience without the top piece? If so please post. barely 5
Okay. Im probally just going to go ahead and purchase the top piece also. I feel as though this will provide a stronger hold for the unit as a whole. Has anyone had an experience without the top piece? If so please post. Mine runs fine WITHOUT the top piece. Guess that it all depends on whether you are using the factory sight or plan to add something on the top rail.
GrandLotus 0
Horray! This was the response I was looking for. I currently run a krebs ghost ring sight set up. The unnecessary cost has saved me $60. I just plan on using the lower rails for a flashlight and possible a VFG. Thanks.
