cfr 4
Greetings. I just had a bullet guide installed in my Saiga. To stay in compliance with 922, I need some USA made mags. My options are either to buy Tapco's, or ground down my Surefires. Ive read mixed reviews on the Tapcos, how is the reliability for ground down Surefires? Thanks! TJohn 8
I have not had any problems with either Tapcos or modded Surefires, but I haven't tried to overly abuse them either.
cfr 4
Thanks. Have others modified their Surefires? Good or bad experience? If the reliability isnt consistant, Id rather just sell them and buy the Tapcos.
bai78 1
I'd be interested in the Surefire mags if you decide to sell...

canoecanoe 63
I have done this successfully with 223 surefires. They should be good to go. Just modify the front to clear the bullet guide.

chevyman097 2,579
For the price you spend on those mags you could do a conversion twice. Just sayin

Just sayin I already own 2 Surefires, they wont cost me a dime. I could likely sell them and buy 3 Tapcos, but not sure which would be better.
chevyman097 2,579
Well surefire deffinatley has a better reputation than tapco as far as quality goes. Do you only plan on ever owning more than three magazines? just saying. milsurp mags under 10 bucks all day long.

A friend of mine has some milsurps I would ask to borrow, should zombies attack tomorrow. Think I'm leaning towards the Surefire grinding approach at this point, thanks.
