jstndrfr 0
What are these new Saiga 308's turning up on gunbroker? They have wood stocks and the 21" bbl. I looked in my blue book of gun values and it said it was produced betweeen 2002 -- 2006, Im pretty certain this a new production gun. Anyhow, I got a new one for 575, couldnt turn it down. lbsrdi 1,078
Not new, I think mine was made in 2001.
Superhawk138 202
Sounds like you are talking about the 308 ver 21. You got a pretty fair deal if so. Some don't like the slant cut receiver.

Standard S.308 ( IZ-138) with wood furniture instead of poly. This is a S.308-ver.21 You'll notice that the IZ-138 is in an unconverted configuration, i.e. crappy trigger linkage. The S.308-ver.21 is in original factory configuration, the factory trigger without the linkage is actually acceptable, with a little work its nice. Date of Manufacture (DOM) can be determined by the serial number, e.g. H09******** would be DOM 2009, first two numbers are the year.

Gotcha, yes its the IZ 138 with the wood, just like your first pic.. Its not the version 21 since it doesnt have the thumb hole stock. H08 is the start of the serial # so its 2008 manufacture. I was getting confused by the blue books info. Thanks
