IPSC45 8
Hello Guys and Gals. New to Saiga's. Just picked up a Saiga IZ-240 ( 5.45 x 39)...and looking at all the AK-74 conversion possibilities. Can someone give me a rough and general brand-name rundown on which ammo brand is corrosive and which is not? I presume the low-cost, military surplus 1080 rd "spam" cans are corrosive. What about other brands ( Wolf ?...Bear?....whatever). Can someone give me a quick list on both types? TIA. Edited April 20, 2012 by IPSC45
Redman92 4
Gundeals.com in the ammo section list most ammo prices and if it's corrosive (CO) or non-corrosive (NC). Even list shipping cost and price per round.
joebanda1213 59
The animal rounds (wolf bear and tiger) are not suppose to be. Most if not all military surplus/military ball from old combloc nations is corrosive. I keep both on hand just in case I dont really want to clean after shooting. Or if a meteor hits the earth I am shooting my non corrosive until i can find time to clean.
