onehappycampster 25
So I decided I want to add a collapsible stock to my 5.45 but I don't know which I should choose. Any of these better than the rest? Carolina Shooters CAA VLTOR Any others I should consider? Anyone with first hand experience? What say you? Thanks.
DrThunder88 912
It looks like the CSS one sits a skosh higher than the CAA or VLTOR to allow the stock to collapse fully. On my CAA tube, the shortest setting is inaccessible. It's no big deal for me since I typically keep mine more toward the middle anyway, but those who like it shorter for shooting or stowing could benefit.

dayofruin 425
I like the mako AK stock tube. ~$50 on eBay. Very sturdy and well made.
onehappycampster 25
Thanks for the input although I was trying to stay away from polymer.
DrThunder88 912
I see Primary Arms has a clearance deal on the aluminum CAA stock tube packaged with a stock for $70 (item #AKTSCBS). The stock may be imported though, if you're counting parts.
Mr.BlahX3 12
Look at CNC Warrior and Bonesteels stock adapters too. I really like mine
onehappycampster 25
Thanks! I didn't know CNC Warrior made some. As a mini update, I've seriously considered this one, too.
danklab 57
I had the CAA on one of mine for a while. Decided to go with a wood stockset a while back though. It was sturdy and solid, but as stated, you couldn't use the most collapsed setting. I shot with it 1 click out anyway, so it was fine. $70 is a good deal for that particular setup. I think I paid $120 when I got mine, and IIRC most places sell the tube itself for around $70 - $90.
onehappycampster 25
Thanks for the input. I have decided against the CAA for sure now.
