Someone will always buy a bigger mag, whether they buy it just for fun or for serious purposes is another question. In fact, some people who might have otherwise had no interest in the gun itself might buy a gun because it has "high capacity" mags. Mags, while technically an accessory, have the important ability to determine shooting experience almost as much (arguably more so) than the ammo going through the gun. More ammo to blow through on a single mag means, generally speaking, more fun, more capability, and can indeed have tactical applications. While some people will consider weight for tactical purposes, for the sake of this argument, fun will always be a factor. Examples: How many people would love to own a gatling gun? (you can btw and they're pretty awesome) How many people bought a Saiga-12 due to 20 rounders? or an Ak variant due to 75s? or even a 10/22 because they have drums too? or a glock because 26 rounds of .45 sounds like the shit? or just look at your collection noting the capacities to each gun. I'm willing to bet most of your guns have a capability to fire more than manufacturer's magazine capacities with after market magazines even if you never bought the correlating mags. Even if you get older and wiser and realize that for real world applications (tactical, hunting, competition, self-defense) that a "high capacity" magazine might not be the best route to go, you'll still always have fun blowing through 100 rounds of well.. anything really whether it's .22 LR or well.. umm.. *tries to think of an upper limit starting at .50 and upon realizing that's too small goes up to a device to shoot 100 galaxy-sized projectiles (caliber?) in under 2 seconds* though the fun mileage may vary based on caliber and person. Are the mags appropriately priced? If it seriously only costs $5 to make a mag, charging $70+ is wrong and the market will be hurt for it, cutting into your profits ultimately because the gun purchase becomes less desirable as "the mags for it are too expensive." Ideally most mags will be priced reasonably but reality is that drum magazines end up costing over $200 more often than not when clearly that isn't anywhere near production cost. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Ok , thanks , you can delete this thread if if comes across wrong. I wanted to ask a serious ? as to why there are no hicap. mags for the 1919 , and it came out more like a sales question , which was unintended.
