Reloading bench, worth the effort

Recommended Posts

I'v been loading on a reinforced folding table for a while now. I finally decided to build a real bench and came up with this.

Just thought I would share if someone is looking for ideas on how to set up a reloading bench. Not a tutorial or anything, just a general Idea.

I am very pleased with how it turned out. Rock solid and very functional.

(1) Maple bench top from Grizzly - $165.00

(1) Custom fabricated table base - $0 built from scrap metal left over from a job. About 16 hours labor.

(3) Cans rust-olium - $18.00

(1) Old child's bed headboard - modified with shelving. $0 + sweat, bloody knuckles and a lot of cussing. ( I hate woodwork )

(1) Used- like new kennedy toolbox.- $200.00

Tell me what you think.

nice. looks similar to my shotgun bench... My rifle bench was totally hand made, and has a green formica top... had to bolt THAT one to the wall though... reloading 50 BMG needs a decent amount of oomph to resize and deprime... and it would almost tip the bench over!! HAHAHAA!

Looks very nice. Even nicer then my shop bench I made this summer

That was before it was covered in crap and the garage isn't much cleaner.

For my reloading bench I am re-tasking the old bottom box from my tool box to reloading and putting a wood top on it. I hope it works out. Its a small craftsman bottom roller box.
