RED333 1,025
It is coming, limit how much you can put in now, latter who knows. http://www.teaparty....accounts-22558/ The left wants money for the ones on the tit!
Remek 771
Ridiculous. Plus, it might mean short-term gain, but the taxes upon payout are lost on that money. Very short term thinking.
RED333 1,025
Well wait till the government says "Now you will have to buy bonds with the money, it will be good when you need it" Yea right it will. How does the government know how much is enough!!!
haugpatr 972
Takers > Makers They will get the retirement accounts someday, but remember it will be much more difficult for them to confiscate silver, gold, firearms, and ammunition!
macbeau 902
401K's are pretax exempt on the contribution side and taxed as capital gains (currently 15%) on the payout. ROTH IRA's are post-payroll tax contributions (taxed going in on the contribution) with no tax (Capital gains or income or otherwise) on payout (after legal eligibility). Methinks that this is what he may be targeting! Tax in AND tax out... Macbeau... .
Dad2142Dad 6,559
The last time this happened the country was in really bad shape and still took days for information to get out. Methinks this time it would not end well.

Money sitting in one of these accounts is at great risk IMHO, my prediction is as Social Security starts continues to fall appart, the politicians/people will not let it happen, they will need to get more money to prop it up. Where will this money come from? Your 401k or IRA account. You must have taken advantage of somebody less fortunate to have money in an account like that. A "Nancy Piglosi" type politician in the future will introduce a bill called "The Retirement Security Act" this bill will start by adding a tax in addition to your income tax, it might start as 15% plus regular income tax. This will keep the Ponzi scheme going for a few more years but will not be enough, they will continue to raise this tax until they have basically stolen all of your money, but they will think it's OK because you will be able to get Social Security just like everyone else. The only thing that needs to occur for the above to happen, is for libtards to be in control and vote it in! Takers > Makers
