Squishy 1,149
A Navy F8 Pilot who is a member of the range where I work sent this link to me today. A friend of his who was a helicopter pilot in VN sent it to him. To those who were there, may this burden weigh ever more lightly on you as time goes on. To those of us who were not, let us never forget. Edited October 1, 2013 by Squishy
Capt Nemo 882
I know two of those pics! One was my father's best man....lost to a VC gun position using a captured M2. The other was a pilot in my unit!
Sim_Player 1,939
No words... My buddies dad was a pilot in the first flight of F-4s to Vietnam. He almost got court marshaled for painting the sharks teeth on the planes the night before they left Thailand. He was given an Plaque, when he left, featuring the newspaper story of his controversial deployment. It was being proudly displayed behind his bar, when I last saw it. My friend gave me lots of original photos of his dads tour as a F-4 pilot, as I was crewing F-16s at the time. He knew how much I would value them. I'll try to scan them. We cannot lose these stories!!!! My step-father served there too. Edited October 1, 2013 by Sim_Player
