xICEMANx 13
Anyone shot this through their mka1919? JG has an awesome deal on them right now. I need 100 rounds for the FrontSight Tactical Shotgun course I'm taking soon. http://www.jgsales.com/12ga-spartan,-2.75,-00-buckshot,-9-pellet,-250rd-case.-p-60160.html
Shandlanos 1,470
I've never used it, but I'd be wary of its quality. Low brass, with a warning in the advertisement that "crimp style may vary." While it shows a standard star crimp in the image, I'm guessing what you'll actually get will be roll crimped, and likely will not fit in drums. It's probably cheaply made, low quality stuff - but that's pure speculation based on the link you posted.

I saw a video on YouTube of a guy shooting it through his Saiga 12 drum and it ran flawlessly. I'm leary on buying 250 rounds of it, which I could just find one box locally. SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
I'm a big fan of the RIO 00 buck 1375 fps. I have shot around 300 rounds withe zero failures. A case of 250 is $124.

Shandlanos 1,470
I've bought Rio Royal before, and it definitely didn't fit in the MD-20. But it runs great through box mags.

xICEMANx 13
I found a retialer that sells it one box at a time and I need to order some PPQ mags from them so I'll pick up a box and see how it runs through the MKA1919.

It isn't necessary for high power loads. Some shotgun shells have no brass at all except the primer pocket. I got 250rd of the Spartan (ups just dropped it off). It looks good. Star crimp. OAL 2.32" 0.01" longer than Winchester Universal. Edited January 14, 2014 by Darth Saigus

gunfun 3,931
FYI, the S&B shells are the only ones I've had any problems with top round deformation: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/80555-mags/&do=findComment&comment=806099
krystofer66 1
I bought the case last year and had issues with FTE
metalgodlb 30
I have bought quite a bit of Spartan and it has ran great in both Saiga and Vepr for me. Something over the last month has changed though. I have always bought these at academy for 12.99 a box and they were always the "star" crimp style. A few weeks ago I noticed it was on clearance for 9.99 a box so I loaded up on it. When I opened this batch it was the "roll" crimped type with a clear plastic insert and unloaded this makes it about 1/4-3/8" longer end to end. I have not tried but I suspect it won't fit in the drums being longer than the star crimp. I hadn't noticed the "crimp style may vary" warning before reading this post. Anyway, good shootin stuff from my experience. The price is certainly right
krystofer66 1
Well i was referring to my XN. I bought this when i first got my Akdal and it would not cycle. I since have shot many rounds and maybe it has broken in some. I will try to shoot some this weekend to test.
Arndog123 2
Both my Mka XN and Vepr 12 feed this stuff flawlessly http://www.midwayusa.com/product/953219988/estate-ammunition-12-gauge-2-3-4-00-buckshot-9-pellets?cm_vc=rotator Purchased another 500 rounds to keep them well fed. krystofer66 1
Just took the ole XN out this weekend to confirm and the spartan 12ga shot just fine. This is the buckshot with the clear plastic top not crimped.
