  1. Right. If I can help in any way please feel free to ask. Take care!
  2. Some have asked if the Vepr 12 will shoot when the factory tubular stock is in the folded position. I can confirm that the weapon shoots folded without any problems.
  3. Good to go. I didn't have to hit it with anything. After a little filing I took it outside and leaned it against a chair. I put my weight into it and it broke free. I held the folding mechanism open using a plastic cap from a small ballpoint pen. Now it's a folder and I already have my 922r parts on it. 2 legit.
  4. Trying to break the weld. It appears to be a light weld. So should I give this thing a good wack with a rubber hammer at this point? Also do I need to shove something in the latch on the left side to engage the fold mechanism? Thanks
  5. Sounds good everyone! I will post an update once I get it all fixed up. Thanks to all for the comments and recommendations. I will take it nice and easy, and go slow.
  6. A handful from around 09-10 came with factory threaded barrels. His very well may be one of them. +1. Mine was one of them. Normally you can see the start of the threads peaking through if you look closely. Measure back 5/8" from the muzzle, mark a line and use a pipe cutter to cut through the shroud. If you have threads, your done:) . If not you needed to cut back the shroud 5/8" to thread the barrel anyway. I will try and get a pic of it to post tomorrow. From what I remember it looks a lot like you describe Spacehog. A handful from around 09-10 came with factory threaded
  7. ^ What he said, and of course I realize this thread is over 3 years old.

  9. Paid $320 bucks for a bone stock IZ-132, $400 for an S-12 right before the 2008 panic ensued. After that, everything changed.
  10. I got to looking at the barrel on my IZ 132 and it looks like there are threads on the barrel underneath the shrouded portion of the front site. I will try to get a good pic of it later, I just don't want to go dig it out of the safe right now. My question about that is what would be the best way to expose the possible threads without taking the entire front site off or doing any damage to possible said threads? Take it slow with a Dremel and cutting wheel? A pipe cutter? I'd like to keep the site where it is if at all possible and just drill out the hole for a detent since I have those p
  11. I had one made by http://www.alumaliteusa.com/ some time back. I love it! No weight issues. You hardly know that it's there, and it looks bad ass. Fits the same on the S12.
  12. Spend 50 bucks to do it yourself, and save 110.
  13. I had a Kushnapup in FDE Duracoat before it was cool.
  14. It's probably a front for her to get out of testifying about the whole Benghazi debacle. I still hope she dies and burns in hell all the same.
  15. Shotty, having worked in the automotive industry and sold Duplicolor products, I would not recommend that you use the truck bed coating to cover your grip areas. In the description it clearly states that it is a non-skid product. Basically what that means is that it dries very hard and has numerous surface edges that are not soft. You would cut the daylights of both your hands if you use this. Go to an auto parts store and look at the display. Some of them have a sample of the dried product. Just tryin to save you a headache before you get it. Hey Twitch, thanks a lot for the heads
  16. Shotty, for the tang retrofit, you may want to take a look at this thread http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/77959-my-kushnapup-conversion/ as this is what I did. Not as fancy as Indy's but just as functional. Mike I like that rubber cushon mod you did. I was actually thinking of using the textured rubber liner spray to create a textured rubber surface on the pistol grip though.
  17. Damn nice review! I like the mod you did to keep the tangs. I was thinking about masking off the weapon in order to spray the grip and foregrip with this Dupli-Color TR250 rubber truck bed coating http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SHW-TR250/ What do you think?
  18. I agree. Piss on this feature if you can't use the same mags and drums. I didn't spend years stocking up on mags and drums for this thing just to have to start all over on the same shotgun with a LRBHO part added to it. I like my shotty the way I have it now, and like you I dont wish for a LRBHO part every time I empty a mag, it is not important to me either.
  19. Oh believe me I have learned not to get my hopes up about anything saiga related. It would be nice if one could get one of the DIY ABHO kits that is mentioned. I wonder why it takes so long for things in other countries to rotate over to the US? Anyway, I damn sure wont be buying anything from Europe.
  20. I stumbled upon a European site while searching for a russian red dot sight. It mentions late model S12's being manufactured by Izhmash with an auto BHO made standard. It is also mentioned that upgrade kits will also be available for converting earlier S12's over to the auto bho. The announcement on the site reads... ANNOUNCEMENT: From now on ALL Saiga-12 shotguns will have a factory-built LAST ROUND bolt stop mechanism (Spetsnaz-2 available from 10th April / Hunter, Spetsnaz 1 & SWAT from May). If you wish to pre-pay, we are offering two free 8-round magazines on top of those two incl
  21. I cant find a few things I need to complete my build. I am trying to find a gas block that will fit the 5.45 and I need a lower handguard retainer. Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know what the barrel diameter is on the 5.45? Also, if anyone has done an AK 100 series build and installed the solid side folder please hit me up with a pm as I just have a few questions in regards to that. Thanks to all in advance.
