  1. Here's my experience with all of this vodka drunk madness! My S-12 came with two ports and they were both partially blocked by the gas block. It would cycle 2 3/4" magnum loads on 1 with no problem. It would cycle federal value packs about 50% on 2. It wouldn't cycle any of my light target loads. Step 1. I did the fix mentioned here and filed away at my gas block until both ports were fully exposed. I took the gun out to the range and tried my luck again. Setting one setting two, it didn't matter, 2 ports just weren't pushing enough gas to make the value packs or anything lighter work.
  2. Just FYI, I would advise against doing this modification to the 2 port Vodka specials and just send them back to RAAC. I did it to mine and it didn't help at all. The two ports, even when un-blocked just aren't enough to cycle the lighter loads. I spoke with Clyde at RAAC (great guy BTW) and he informed me that he'll accept any of the unmodified Vodka's for return and ship you a properly ported weapon when they become available. Things get difficult though if you've already converted or modified your gun as you will then need to send it to one of his contracted warranty shops for them
  3. Very nice! Do you have a link where I could find that particular sight?
  4. Thanks a ton for the info. The gent that's selling me the stock did a little leg work and he's getting all of the correct parts for me. Don't ask me how he did it I truley don't know. Did I say he was a good guy to deal with? I'm going to get the trigger guard that K-Var has and try to weld it myself or maybe get someone to do it for me if I can find someone that's not swamped. My conversion is getting a little more complicated than originally anticipated but I'm sure It'll be worth it in the end. I'll definitley post some pics once I get everything squared away. Thanks ag
  5. You need an AK-74 trigger guard - but never mind that - from whom did you order a Russian made AK-100 polymer sidefolder and hardware? -Thirtycal I got it on arfcom from one of the good guys I have run into a problem though. I got this message from the seller
  6. The Bulgarian waffle mags are known for their reliability and durability. With that being said, I think that your bud just got a bum mag. It would be nice if you had another waffle mag to try out and see if the problem ceases.
  7. I just got ordered an Arsenal SGL10 Saiga rifle and a Russian made AK 100 series side folding stock and I am ready to do a conversion. What trigger guard do I need to make an authentic AK 103 clone?
  8. I see 7.62x39, .308, 30-06, .223, etc.. why no 5.45? I'd love to make a ak 105 clone but its a no-go with SAIGAs.
