  1. It was probably the changing of the handguard. The original handguard covers up the port hole on the left side (muzzle pointing away from you) of the gas block. Once you change out the handguard, the port hole is uncovered, and I would imagine that it would exhaust out more gas than normal; which means less gas to cycle the shotgun.

  3. I've been waiting for my my $2000+ gun for 17 months now. I was promised 6 months. I haven't heard any responses to my e-mails and phone messages for about 9 months.
  4. At least you got to talk to him. I haven't spoken with him since I made my order. I think the last e-mail from Etac wasaround october of 2009. None of my phone calls or e-mail are returned.
  5. I just called E-Tac (808) 678-3822. The answering message I got was, "Memory is full". They are scammers. Check my other posts.
  6. I was promised several times, and I still have not heard from Esteban. It's been 1.5 years since my order. All of my calls and e-mails have not been returned for a year now... He promised me 6 months. Then I was promised another 3 months because he didn't deliver. Obviously, they were all lies. Yet people still defend him. For those that defend him, how many have actually ordered one from him? He is a terrible business man. I don't care how good his guns look, because the only ones that I've seen are .jpgs. As for me personally, I'm in the small camp of folks that have essentially subsribed to the notion that, "it takes as long as it takes." That still does not excuse the broken promises (lies), lack of return e-mails and phone calls. I have my own business too. Zero communication means a poorly run business or a scam.   9. I too am very unhappy with E-Tac. Esteban was very nice over the phone, but everything business related has been crap. I've ordered a $2000+ shotgun that was in stock over a year ago!!! He promised around 6 months turn around time. Now all I get is more empty promises or usually just no response. I didn't start e-mailing him until about 6 months into the project. Then he said he should get them our by October. Of course that's after about 3 e-mails and a couple of phone calls that he finally got back to me.   10. When I spoke with Esteban in January, I ordered a Saiga 12 and its conversion. I still haven't received it yet. It seemed like they had good customer service at the time. It seemed he truly cared about what he did and that I was satisfied. So far, he still hasn't delivered my shotgun. He promised 6 months. It's approaching 9 months. I wouldn't worry so much now if he would communicate with me, but since June 8, all he told me was that he would have Craig pull my invoice and give me an ETA. None of that happened. I emailed about 4 times since then and called once. So far nothing!
